How to Adopt
Visit BARL's Adoption Center Thursday-Sunday, Noon-3:00 p.m. (or by appointment) to find your new best friend. (BARL also has cats at PetSense in Brookhaven.)
Adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $85 for cats.
Adoption Fees Include:
---Spaying or neutering
---First vaccinations, and all needed until time of adoption
---Deworming, as needed until time of adoption
---Microchipping (Dog only)
---Complimentary adoption starter package
---Complimentary collar, if correct size is available (Dog only)
---All dogs of appropriate age have been tested for heart worms.
---All dogs are on heart worm and flea preventative.
Those wishing to adopt, must be at least 21 years of age, complete an application, provide valid photo identification, and pay an adoption fee.

Our Placing Animals with Seniors (PAWS) program is sponsored 
by Pets for the Elderly. Anyone 60 or older is eligible to receive $50 off his or her adoption fee of a new BARL pet. A dog’s adoption fee will be reduced to $50 and a cat’s adoption fee will be $35. The program is designed to offer companionship to senior individuals through pet ownership; while providing a home for a shelter animal.
